I used to help a neighbour with his vegetable garden on Thetis Island. One winter, I helped him spread seaweed on his asparagus beds. He would dump wheelbarrows of seaweed on the dirt and I would spread it with a rake. Doing this, I had this vision of pulling the ocean over the earth. This is how this drawing came to me. I originally produced a black & white lithograph of that drawing (now sold out).

This digital, coloured version was designed by scanning the litho and then adding colour on the computer.
